Fuglen filmklubb welcomes you to watch Ikíngut (2000) by Gísli Snær Erlingsson with us. From a coastline of northern Iceland, a young son of a Christian priest discovers someone drifting on ice, and so an adventure colliding two worlds starts. The question is whether that which is different should be feared and rejected?   

The screening is a part of this season’s theme: Winterspring of folklore. Across four films telling in the now of ages of the past and more recent, places far and close, we will explore contemporary visions of folklore and tradition, conflicts of the old ways and new, and life perspectives of people of the world.
