Are you curious to expand your movie horizon?
Fuglen filmklubb welcomes you to watch The Green knight (2021) by David Lowery with us. This movie is a mist-soaked Arthurian fever dream where a young knight of the Round table sets on a mystical quest of glory and renown, the price of which is his life. Will he pay that price?
This screening is a part of Fuglen Filmklubbs "surrealist fall", where we fall into a reality-bending rabbit-hole together, to see where it takes us. Other screenings to come:
3. September: The Holy Mountain (1973) by Alejandro Jodorowsky.
A kaleidoscopic pilgrimage where a human, an alchemist, a god shepherds sinners and seekers toward a promised transcendence. Will they understand what he intends to show?
1. October: The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018) by Terry Gilliam.
A meta-mirage of film production where a weary director spirals into a delirious sacred quest across La Mancha. Is he the dreamer or the dream?
Welcome to a social and surrealist fall with Fuglen Filmklubb!
Fuglen filmklubb is a new initiative by local movie enthusiasts, aiming to gather people around high quality movies, to watch, talk and spend time together. The club name is inspired by the fact that so many streets around Landåstorget are named after birds. The screening is for free, and you dont need to sign up in advance. Just bring a neighbour, a friend or show up alone - welcome!

Fuglen filmklubb er et nyoppstartet initiativ av lokale filmentusiaster, med mål om å samle folk rundt gode filmer for å se film, snakke og henge sammen. Filmklubben har fått sitt navn fra de mange gatene rundt Landåstorget som er oppkalt etter fugler. Arrangementet er gratis, og du trenger ikke å melde deg på. Bare ta med en venn, en nabo eller kom alene. Velkommen!
