Fuglen filmklubb welcomes you to watch The Golem (1920) with us. In the narrow slums of old Prague, a towering figure of clay is brought into being to shield a Jewish community. The question is whether there is a difference between us and them?

Fuglen filmklubb in collaboration with Landås bibliotek welcomes you to its second film-screening season: Winterspring of Folklore. As winter loosens its grip and spring stirs beneath the surface, we journey into stories of old and new, born of witnessing ice clashing with fire, sea shattering rock, lightning blazing the skies and human hands changing the world. Across four films we will explore contemporary visions of folklore and tradition, conflicts of the old ways and the new, and life perspectives of people of the world. We will approach them not as static carvings, but as a living tale that is never the same: a neverending and evershifting story by people, of people; a blooming force that makes becoming. And we invite you to join our exploration. 

After each screening the club holds an open discussion of the film where all attendants are warmly welcome to share their perspectives.
